House of 1000 Corpses
dir. Rob Zombie
Starring: Sid Haig, Bill Moseley, Karen Black, Matt McGrory
Expected release: Who knows?
It says on robzombie.com that Universal "amicably" dropped the film because it was too gruesome. It also says that Mr. Zombie has retained the rights and is looking elsewhere to get it released. I can only hope that he finds someplace to release it soon... I don't like how people keep saying this is gonna be like "Texas Chainsaw Massacre." I'm hoping not, though I did see a picture in Fangoria of Bill Moseley terrorizing some bound and gagged chick in a chair... Hmmm... According to articles I've read, you're supposed to like the bad guys, even though they eat people. The trailer for this was the vaguest trailer I've ever seen. After downloading it, I still had no clue what it was supposed to be about. Oh well. At least Mr. Zombie knows his horror films... If you want to see more on House, check out houseof1000corpses.com, but I'll warn you that it isn't updated very often. You can check out more scanned pics from Fango and Wicked here.

Strangeland 2
dir.Dee Snider
Starring: Dee Snider
Expected release: never, I hope...
I'm really hoping this is just a rumor. I mean, I was a Twisted Sister fan in my day, but I lost all respect for Dee when I saw Strangeland. That was a self-indulgent piece of derivative garbage if I ever saw one. The plot was idiotic, it portrayed body modification in the most twisted, ininformed manner I've ever seen, and it showed Dee's ass. If I ever force myself to watch that crap again to review it, I'll probably give it several negative Trioxin barrels. Dee must really need cash or something.
